Really happy with this purchase. It allows me to pump whilst doing things around the house and is perfect for nighttime too. Battery life is good, lasts about 3-4 sessions for me.
I bought the Mumma owl pumps to use for convenience along side my spectra.
Honestly the best decision I have made for my breast feeding journey so far.
I can use them literally anywhere which motivates to pump so much more.
My son sleeps beside them no worries so they are quiet.
I barely even use my other pump now as the Mumma owl pumps get the same yield, if not more than the spectra.
They can be a little more harsh on the nips, but I guess it’s the mechanism of them squeezing rather than pulling.
Overall very happy with my purchase.

Absolutely love the hands free mode of the night owl pump. I had a manual one and wasnt able to express enough in a day tor my little one. The mamma has made it totally possible and continues to help build supply ♥️
I’m rarely moved to write reviews, but these pumps are absolutely game changing. I have a toddler and a newborn so need my hands free, and the suction on these pumps is far better than the Specta S1. The cost is easily worth the piece of mind that comes with knowing I can produce adequate milk for my little one. Well done to the designers for an excellent product, highly recommend!

I've always had unsettled babies who want to be held pretty regularly, so when my second decided he didn't want to take the breast it made it so much harder to hold, feed and express for the next feed.
I can now hold him while expressing or do other chorestwo handed.
Helping make my 5-day first born happy and chubby, and my breastfeeding experience a positive one. I found out about this brand on Instagram and spent a long time reading reviews before purchasing in late in my 2nd trimester back in January 2025. Now, with a 5-day newborn I can finally share a review and state with confidence that I depend on the Mamma Owl to express remainder milk after every feed for my newborn. I packed these pumps in my hospital bag and used it to extract precious drops of colostrum in the days after delivery after struggling to get the baby to latch and finding hand expressing painful due to the sensitivity of my breasts and nipples. Now I'm producing milk, I continue to use it after every contact feeding to extract the remainder of milk, which is quite significant in volume. By day 5 I am producing 120ml - 150ml of breastmilk per pumping session, thanks to this amazing device. At 5 days old, baby is happy, getting very chubby and it's thanks to this device. Thank you for making my breastfeeding experience with my first born a positive one. 5/5 stars!
As an exclusive pumper, I didn’t know of a wearable pump was for me but I needed a solution that didn’t require me sitting next to a plug point multiple times a day. Very comfortable, extremely easy to use and I get the same output as my hospital grade plug in pump. It took a few tries to find the bra that worked best for me and when I did - it I was a game changer. I can pump while doing chores, holding the baby and even while out on a walk. Recommend for anyone on the fence about a wearable pump.
The flange inserts I purchased fit perfectly and have increased the amount of milk I'm able to pump out by double. Will purchase again! Thank You!
Great product; I was looking for convenience and performance and this pump offers both.
I needed to exclusively pump as my baby was premature, these were amazing at allowing me to get other stuff done around the house. I started with a third hospital grade pump but hated having to be stuck in one place, I get just as pumped output with the night owl as I did with the hospital grade. I also take these when I’m out- having to pump every 3 hrs, this allowed me to go out and pump on the go. Worth the investment!
I was unsure how well these pumps would work for me as I have large breasts (14GG). However after using them for a week I’ve been really surprised at how well they fit in my bra and are truly hands free. I’ve tried hands free bras in the past but they never worked for me, I always had to hold it in the right spot.
Whilst I need a stronger level of suction than with my spectra the output of milk achieved is comparable it just takes 20 minutes of pumping instead of 10. But I don’t mind because I’m able to get things done in the meantime. It’s also great at my older kids activities as I can pump and carry on with conversations, the pumps are quiet enough that you can’t hear them in cafes/gyms etc.
The silicone flange feels soft and warm against my skin and creates a good suction to stop leaks. The parts are also really quick and easy to clean. The large capacity is great as well, I don’t have to worry about pausing all the time to collect the milk.
Photo is from 20 minutes of double pumping. The smaller side had been pumped empty 2 hours prior so there was a bit less.

You can shave a bit more time off your pumping sessions with a more precise fit using a flange insert. Pop over to our size guide to find your perfect match :) If you’re using a 24mm flange or larger with your Spectra, this will likely affect your size with The Night Owl too - so it’s really important to size both pumps separately.

Used from day1 post birth and it’s the easiest pump I’ve ever had to use and clean. I’m able to get over 100mls in less than 10mins only a few days post birth… it’s a game changer through this busy time.
So convenient to be able to move around while pumping. Lifesaver!

I'm currently feeding twins by exclusively pumping. I noticed my supply was starting to drop as I didn't have time to sit down and pump (between the twins, my 4yo and jobs that need doing). Just 2 days of using mumma owl my supply was back to normal! I have more freedom to be out for longer without stresing about pumping or finding somewhere to plug in. I’ve been exclusively pumping using this pump for about 6 months now and would choose the same one over and over again. It makes such a difference being able to pump on the go and I find I express the same amount of volume as when using the hospital Medela pumps. I’ve had to replace a few parts but that’s to be expected and have had wonderful interactions with the night owl team
We had a Medela pump in Hospital and a smaller "portable" one on loan from a friend. Because this portable pump was too cumbersome to use, my wife had to sit down somewhere to pump, couldn't do anything but listen to the pump and it was leaking after cleaning quite often, we decided to give the Mumma Owl (pair) a go.
It is not cheap but also not overly expensive compared to others. We have used them now for about a month and the performance is great, there are no leaks, they are really portable and don't have any hoses hanging off. The cleaning and sterilizing is very easy as the 4 relevant components come out easily and can be placed in our UV sterilizer/dryer. After a week I could strip/reassemble them with the lights out.
We probably need a few months to see how the components deteriorate in the sterilizer and due to cleaning and how the build in battery behaves long term. Main concern is the valve and the shield, but until now there are no signs of wear and the performance seems the same as on day 1. Although we must be getting close to having to order a few spare parts.
The charging port is a USB-C which makes it easy to find a charger somewhere to top up the battery if needed.
We bought them with one reducer but using that caused some irritation and wasn't necessary, so that's not in use anymore.
I noticed that my 20 min pumping session was not producing my normal amount and i even started to doubt my milk supply however before jumping to conclusions i went onto the website and realised that my pump parts were due for a change. I’ve since only used them once but i can confirm that my pump is back to its normal output. I love my pump and recommend it to every mum that i meet now. Thank you for making such a wonderful product that makes being a mum of 2 much easier!
Very happy with this pump. It offers convenience, comfort, and efficiency. Love the fact it is hands-free and portable allowing for multitasking without being tethered to a stationary pump. This has been such a worthwhile purchase and I highly recommend.
Don't listen to anybody who says wearable pumps aren't any good. These are absolutely amazing. The output is the same (if not higher) than my 'hospital grade' corded pump but these are a hundred times more convenient. Because pumping is far less of a chore I find my supply has increased as I'm naturally pumping more. I was about to throw in the towel and quit pumping until I bought these pumps. Thank you so much!!!!
